J-Lo may not look the part, but apparently she knows her football. Her husband, Marc Antony, owns a minority share in the Miami Dolphins, and the actress/singer is quite excited for the draft.

On the Jay Leno show she was asked about her “ownership” of the team and what the draft would hold for the Dolphins, and surprisingly enough she had a well-informed answer.

“We have the 12th pick you know, so I’m leaning toward Dan Williams (of Tennessee),” Lopez said. “We need a defensive tackle and he’s really explosive off the line, can beat the double team, and does a nice job of finishing the play. But that’s just my opinion.”

After that interview with Leno, I’m convinced J-Lo could hold her own against Kiper and McShay. But that’s just my opinion.

The Dolphins-talk starts around the 3:35 mark.

Excitement has been building for the New Jersey Nets and the NBA in general over Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov’s acquisition of the struggling franchise.

He plans to move the team to Brooklyn, and has appeared on the CBS show “60 Minutes” in an attempt to help fill the void of uncertainty the American public may have about the NBA’s first potential foreign owner.

Now New Jersey congressman Bill Pascrell Jr. says he will demand a government inquiry into the business dealings Prokhorov has had with Zimbabwe dictator Robert Mugabe, which could threaten his potential ownership of the Nets.

Or maybe this whole story is just a cover up, and Prokhorov wants to back out because he actually saw the Nets play.
