The annual ESPY awards will be televised live on Wednesday, hosted by Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers. Many celebrities and athletes will be in attendance, including actors Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

The duo is promoting their new movie, “The Other Guys,” and stopped by the ESPN studios to discuss the ESPY’s, and also chimed in on the show “Sports Nation,” which is hosted by Michelle Beadle and Colin Cowherd.

The first video features Ferrell and Wahlberg talking supposed ESPY awards, while the second video involves a debate between the two over “Sports Nation.”

It seems nowadays Jack Nicholson draws more attention to himself at sporting events than on the big screen. The actor will add another event to the bucket list when he waves the green flag to start off the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

The three-time academy award winner is also a notable Yankees and Lakers fan. Since the Yankees sit in second place and the Lakers lost their Western Conference Finals lead, I guess he has to find something else to do.

Nicholson won’t be the only star involved at the race however. Michael Andretti will take actor Mark Wahlberg for a pre-race spin, in which they expect to hit 200 mph. Singer/songwriter Jewel will perform the national anthem.

Kim Kardashian will apparently be there as well, supporting her sponsor QuickTrim’s car driven by Graham Rahal.

For over thirty years Chris Berman has been an anchor for ESPN, and now he is being rewarded for his contributions to the sports television industry with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

While some don’t take a liking to the Berman, he has nonetheless been named National Sportscaster of the Year six times.  The Swami has recently signed a contract extension with ESPN.

Others who will be honored with a star at some point in 2010 are actors Russell Crowe, John Cusack, Colin Firth, Adam Sandler, Emma Thompson, and Mark Wahlberg, musicians Bryan Adams, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, ZZ Top and Roy Orbison (posthumously), and director James Cameron.

The road to the Hollywood Walk of Fame has already been paved for sportscasters before Berman, as longtime Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully has a spot as well.
