Actor/rapper Percy “Lil Romeo” Miller has cut ties with the USC basketball program according to head coach Kevin O’Neill. While it is currently unknown if he will transfer, I think we can all form a solid opinion given his 0.7 career points per game average.

The sophomore played in nine games in his career with the Trojans and a total of 19 minutes, according to his player profile on ESPN.com. He scored 5 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out one (hopefully very rewarding) assist.

Miller arrived with childhood friend and superstar recruit DeMar DeRozan, now with the Toronto Raptors, in which many perceived as a package deal. Former head coach Tim Floyd, who recruited DeRozan, denied a possible package deal.

Said Floyd after he offered Miller a scholarship, “He is a very unselfish point guard who plays exceptionally hard. You can’t have enough guys on your team who you think are reliable and dependable and have a tremendous upside. He is going to be playing on one of the better high schools in the area and it is always been important to us to have point guards coming in that know how to win.”

Most of us are still wondering where that “reliability, dependability, and tremendous upside” went.
