The Chinese apparel brand Li-Ning, who sponsors Baron Davis and Shaq with their own signature shoes, are endorsing the Argentinian National Team for the World Basketball Championsips this summer.

They have come out with a commercial of the team, which looks like it was directed by a hybrid of M. Night Shyamalan and Peter Jackson. The only thing missing from this video is an explosion, but frankly I think we’ve all had enough of Michael Bay lately anyway.

The main players in the commercial are Carlos Delfino of the Milwuakee Bucks and Luis Scola of the Houston Rockets. As cliche as this word is, if there was one word to describe this commercial it would be “epic”.

Dario Franchitti chugged the milk on Sunday, as he won his second Indianapolis 500 in four years.

What’s more interesting than Franchitti’s racing career is his wife, actress and college basketball superfan Ashley  Judd. It wasn’t too long ago we saw her going berserk in the stands at the NCAA tournament, cheering on her Kentucky Wildcats.

The Big Blue Nation didn’t come away with the National Championship, but lucky for Judd her husband pulled through in the clutch.

Dan Wheldon finished second, while Marco Andretti finished third and Danica Patrick finished sixth.

The latest musician to get involved in the LeBron James saga is rapper Drake, who took advantage of The King’s presence at a recent concert in Cleveland.

At the concert Drake calls up LeBron onstage, to which he is greeted by chants of MVP. He even lets LeBron perform with him, in a Lil’ Jon-esque cameo shouting “Hey” while Drake spits his flow.

Thanks to for the video.

Fresh off his departure from the USC basketball team, actor/rapper Lil’ Romeo wasted no time in getting himself back on the hoops headlines.

At a charity celebrity basketball game hosted by Tennessee Titans’ quarterback Vince Young, Lil’ Romeo was posterized by Denver Nuggets guard J.R. Smith.

Watch the video below. Other athletes and celebrities that took part in the game include rapper Master P, Titans running back Chris Johnson, Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson, WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes, and NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon.

The World Cup starts in June, and while Spain and Brazil are the up front favorites, British rapper Dizzee Rascal likes his resident country England’s chances.

He’s also apparently an American baseball fan. Trying to suck up to Obama on behalf of the prime minister, perhaps?

Rascal has never been to a soccer game before, but he’s making the trip to watch England’s opener against the USA. The rapper will also perform at the Cool Britannia festival in South Africa during the tournament.

According to Dizzee Rascal, Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard are the key players for England. According to me, Dizzee Rascal is quite possibly the best rapper alias in the world.

Soccer’s biggest worldwide icon won’t be participating in the World Cup, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have other plans.

David Beckham suffered a tendon injury in March, but that hasn’t stopped him from being active. The Englishman visited the troops overseas in Afghanistan, where he also got the privilege of handling some heavy weapons and equipment.

If you can’t get enough of the “short, old, Canadian basketball player” Steve Nash in the playoffs, then the latest Vitamin Water commercial will do your craving justice.

Nash goes on the fictional talk show ‘Space Ghost Coast to Coast,’ which is hosted by the fictional superhero Space Ghost, who doesn’t hold back when it comes to making his guests feel uncomfortable.

After this latest ad it looks like Vitamin Water’s advertising is catching up to that of Nike, although I’m pretty sure Nike’s latest World Cup commercial is unbeatable.

It seems nowadays Jack Nicholson draws more attention to himself at sporting events than on the big screen. The actor will add another event to the bucket list when he waves the green flag to start off the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

The three-time academy award winner is also a notable Yankees and Lakers fan. Since the Yankees sit in second place and the Lakers lost their Western Conference Finals lead, I guess he has to find something else to do.

Nicholson won’t be the only star involved at the race however. Michael Andretti will take actor Mark Wahlberg for a pre-race spin, in which they expect to hit 200 mph. Singer/songwriter Jewel will perform the national anthem.

Kim Kardashian will apparently be there as well, supporting her sponsor QuickTrim’s car driven by Graham Rahal.

Actor/comedian Jon Lovitz is a big Dodgers fan, or maybe he’s a big fan of dodging. I get the two confused.

Lovitz is reportedly being sued by the Los Angeles Dodgers organization for $95,400 as a result of his failure to pay for three VIP seats at Dodger Stadium from 2008-2010.

Allegedly, the former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star did not honor a contract in 2008 regarding reserving seats for all home games in 2008-2010. One of the characters Lovitz portrayed on ‘SNL’ was legendary Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda.

Ironically, one of his most popular ‘SNL’ characters was pathological liar Tommy Flanagan. Lovitz also portrayed a pathological liar in the movie ‘Trapped in Paradise’. Can’t feel sorry for the Dodgers organization, they should have seen it coming.

This summer Carmelo Anthony and MTV deejay Lala Vasquez will be getting married, and if you’re into that kind of stuff, you’re invited.

The couple, who have been engaged since Christmas Day 2004, will be filming a five-part reality show for VH1 that will air in the fall. It will feature four 30-minute episodes of pre-nuptial activities, and a one-hour special of the wedding.

The series will focus on Vasquez as she meets with celeb-favorite wedding planner Mindy Weiss, but I’m sure Melo will be around when they decide the guest list. Vasquez’s BFF Kim Kardashian is sure to make an appearance at some point, and you can bet Reggie Bush will get a good laugh out of it.

The wedding will take place on July 10 in New York City, with the series premiering on September 19.
